Percy Plainwoman (Two Gun) Paintings on Scapula Kainai (Blood), Cardston, Alberta, Canada Percy Plainwoman, who painted under the name Two Gun, lived on the Blood Reserve in southern Alberta, Canada. His representative style portrayed both life on the Reserve and a romantic vision of the past, including scenes of buffalo hunts and portraits of warriors and cowboys. Plainwoman himself had been an expert rider who participated in many western rodeos. He painted on a variety of materials, including canvas, paper, pressed particle board, and animal bone. Many of his paintings include his signature image of two crossed rifles.
