Hector Crawler

Chief Calf Child (Hector Crawler) was an outstanding figure in the Nakoda nation. He always lived close to nature and was recognized as a healer -- a Medicine Man. His hunting skills were well known, and many of his trophies grace the walls of museums around the world. Horses from his herd were familiar sights at exhibitions, rodeos, and race tracks throughout Alberta. He died in 1933 after being gored by a bull.
