Weather Vane Trade Sign

Weather Vane Trade Sign
Pontiac Automobile, Co., Detroit, MI

This weather vane is typical of those which were used to decorate car dealerships throughout the country. The image of the "Indian" became generic, as with the familiar silhouette used to represent Pontiac cars. Other automobile manufacturers also have given their products "Indian" names such as the popular Jeep Cherokee.
