Weaving

The artist depicts American astronauts on the moon with a spaceship on a launch pad. According to Yazzie, her friends told her that this was an inappropriate subject for a Navajo weaving. She responded that she had visited Kennedy Space Center and that the experience was part of her life, and that American Indians are a part of everyday events and activities in the world around them.
